Artwine

In Artwine, we make sure that we do things the greenest way possible! Aside from minimizing the use of machines, we’re also trying our best to be an eco-business with the equipments we use in our studio. Just look at these snazzy egg cartons that hold our little felt cutouts:

Do you want to make your own earth-friendly containers too? Here’s what you’ll need:

-egg cartons (preferably the paper kind vs plastic so you can easily paint on it)
-scissors
-at least 2 hues of paint
-paint brush

Cut the square egg carton to a desired length. I like it rectangular so it fits our cabinets nicely. Next, color the inside of the carton with paint and brush. I prefer to use the least amount of water as possible so that the color is more vibrant. Leave to dry. Now, turn it over and paint the outside of the carton with a different paint color. When the paint dries up, your recycled container can now house your little trinkets and doodads! Keep your earrings and small necklaces organized in these beauties too.

Congratulations, you just helped save Mother Earth! : )

A few months ago, Total Girl asked me to do a DIY project about customized t-shirts. Of course, I couldn’t pass up the chance to use Artwine patches cos they’re just perfect for personalizing stuff. Aside from felt appliques, I also used craft gel (with glitters, girls absolutely love sparkly things), fabric scraps, ribbons and textile paint.

Go on, buy your Total Girl ish now! : )
